BlindScores has no accounts for visitors, no newsletter and no adverts. Nothing below is a promise to handle your data carefully — it is a description of data we do not have.
The browser extension
The BlindScores extension hides results on volleyballworld.com so you can watch a match without learning the outcome first.
- It collects nothing. The extension makes no network requests of any kind. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no server behind it.
- It stores two settings.Whether hiding is switched on, and whether the video timeline is hidden — two true/false values, held in your browser’s extension storage. If you are signed into your browser, your browser may sync them across your own devices. They are never sent to us.
- It reads only volleyballworld.com. It runs on that site alone and only changes how the page looks. It does not read other tabs, browsing history, or anything you type.
This website
- What you have revealed stays on your device.Which results you have chosen to see, and which highlights you have watched, are kept in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data resets them.
- Analytics. In production we use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami to count page views and see which tournaments people open. Both are privacy-focused: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no profile of you as an individual.
- Accounts. Sign-in exists only for site administrators editing tournament data. There are no visitor accounts.
- Embedded video.Highlights play through third-party players such as YouTube. Once a video loads, that provider’s own privacy policy applies to it.
What we never do
We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, use it for anything unrelated to showing you sport without spoilers, or use it to assess creditworthiness or lending.
